Noni's massage is an integral part of our maintenance routine. Horses respond beautifully to her sensitive work, and with regular massage we are able to successfully balance training, nutrition, and muscle condition for maximum performance and healthy results.

I have been working with Noni for 3 years now with several different horses that range from 6 years to 46 years old. My horses and my client's horses have gotten a lot of benefits from their massages. They move more freely with a lower head carriage in a less restrictive manner. This has improved their abilities both on the flat and jumping. The horses that were having problems with lead changes are now getting them with ease. They are more supple and have improved their range of motion as a result of these massages.

The massages have helped the pleasure horses as well as the competition horses. I am able to make a program for each horse that helps them in a specific way, targeting certain muscles and areas that may need more or less development. Consequently, they develop physically and fundamentally well and are comfortable with their work.

Noni is a very professional, responsible, and punctual. She has been a pleasure to work with and I would encourage others to give their horses massage therapy too! Noni has "The Right Touch"!

Midnite is a ten year old Morgan mare, currently showing 2nd level dressage after having a career as a show hunter. Noni has been working on Midnite for several months. Before Noni worked on her, Midnite was stiff and resistant. After the first massage, I was amazed! I was clearly able to differentiate between what was a physical issue and what was a training issue. Midnite continued to improve, getting more supple and less resistant, and looking forward to her massages. Noni's work is both a gentle and effective way to help many horses reach their full potential. She also massages other horses for us and really takes a personal interest in each one's progress.

I recently acquired two horses with hopes of using them in my lesson program.  When they arrived at my barn I was very disappointed and wondered just what I was going to do.  The first, a 20 year old TBQH cross was very stiff, shuffled along at the trot, and was so twisted the the right that he had no canter at all.  He literally carried his head turned right and looking up.  Noni worked on him and showed me exercises to use regularly.  Now, six months later, hae has a new life.  He does dressage lessons and trail rides and has 3 very nice gaits.

The second horse, a TB gelding was a very difficult ride and was spooky.  He would scramble and rush when ridden and had severe head tossing issues.  Noni is making remarkable progress with him.  The head tossing is gone and his canter gets better each week.  He is loose, supple, and relaxed now.  This horse was also very defensive about being touched--he would get aggressive.  Now, he is comfortable, happy, and easy to work around.

I highly recommend Noni.  She definitely helped these horses get back to work and may have saved their lives.

The first time in his life that my 13 year old warmblood gelding did an automatic lead change was the day after his first massage with Noni Van Son. My new trainer had worked with him for 6 months, and she was getting frustrated, thinking he was lazy and possibly sore. I had his hocks injected twice and that did not help at all.

When Noni came for the first visit, in addition to working intensely on my horse, she explained to me what she was doing and what she was finding. This generosity cost her two and a half hours of her time, for which she charged her standard rate for one massage. The next day in my lesson he did several flying lead changes. I almost fell off from shock!

Since that time, he has had regular work and training, excellent supplements, two chiropractic/acupuncture treatments (which Noni recommended) and bi-weekly massage. We have not had to inject his hocks again and the chiropractor has not had to see him again. He will be 14 this spring, and we hope that taking such excellent care of him will keep him sound and happy for many years.

Working with Noni has dramatically changed my horse's life, and mine, in wonderful ways. She truly has the magic touch, plus a lot of knowledge, and a love of her work
